I came recently to the realization of why so many people reject some of the bold ideas I promote. It does not really matter which, so I will not dwell on them.

When you are trying to get something done, there are many things that are crucial. Can’t make an omelette without eggs, right? Besides the crucial we have handy things that help but are not essential, like for example a pan that is exactly the perfect shape, size and material to cook the omelette the way we like it. Then we have useless, like wearing a hat with the shape of an omelette.

Now, you will find impossible to convince people to make omelettes without eggs, irrational, right?

You may find it hard to either get them to use a “perfect omelette” pan or stop using it, if they are used to the opposite, just because people are often resilient to change. Good marketing, like advice from famous people or close people they trust, can drive this change.

What about the omelette shaped hat? Here we are in the land of tradition. If you live in a country where people are taught that you need to wear an omelette…
